About AstralTwins

What we are

AstralTwins is a social network built around a single idea: that somewhere out there is someone whose birth chart mirrors your own. We calculate your full Vedic Kundli from your exact date, time and place of birth, then compare it against every other member using our Astral Similarity Index — a 25-factor, 100-point scoring system that weighs your Ascendant, every planet and all twelve house lords across Sign, House, Nakshatra and Pada.

How we calculate

Planetary positions come from NASA JPL Horizons ephemeris data, converted to sidereal longitudes using the Lahiri ayanamsa — the standard for Vedic astrology. We publish the full Astral Similarity Index table on every comparison so you can see exactly which factors matched and how each point was earned. No black boxes.

Our charts include the three outer planets — Uranus, Neptune and Pluto — for placement display and similarity scoring. They are deliberately excluded from classical calculations such as Vimshottari Dasha, Ashtakavarga, Shadbala and graha drishti, which remain strictly traditional.

Your birth data

Birth details are the most personal thing you give us, and we treat them that way. They are encrypted at rest, never sold, and never shown to another member until you both accept a Conjunction. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.
